Dear burning hearts and scorched desires, this one’s for you
โI speak from the darkest night
Pass on, so I can forgetโ
Welcome to this new edition of Scene:Bluss in collaboration with Agder Teaterlaboratorium!
This year we will build our own world based on the poems of the Iranian poet Forugh Farrokhzad. She was a poet of sensual extremes who wrote personal and bodily poetry, like being inside the dream of a wild poppy where she lived out her relentless intensity.
Join choreographers Roza Moshtaghi and Kristin Helgebostad in creating a performance built from music videos, poetry, live music, melodrama and sweat. During this two-week laboratory, we will explore Farrokhzad’s world and her affective words, her embrace of desire, her empathy with the whole world. New music and lyrics based on Farrokhzad’s texts will be written for the performance and performed live by 3 different Porsgrunn-based bands!
Moshtaghi and Helgebostad will explore her words through the idea of โโa live music video as choreography. With a pool of pop-cultural references and cultural history the lab will consist of morning classes, lectures and workshops. We will create a performance that will be shown on the 6th of June at PIT, Porsgrunn International Theater Festival. In the lab, the participants will be performers, create scenography, create costumes, sing together and everything in between.
The project is open to anyone interested in performance-making regardless of background, age or ability.
You are invited to an epic ride into the fire

Agder Teaterlaboratorium is based in Arendal and is a similar initiative to Scene:Bluss, gathering a group of artists every year for a 2-week exploration in theatre and performance.
Scene:Bluss is a part of PIT, Porsgrunn International Theatre Festival, a festival within the festival.

โโ๐๐ค๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ค๐จ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ is an Iranian artist, choreographer and performer who lives and works in Oslo. Her works deal with the unexplained narratives of desire generated in the process of adapting or reacting to systems/structures. The ordinary, or rather what we have forced inside the uniform of the ordinary, is Roza’s playground. She looks for possibilities to hypothesize “the hidden” by digging into the ordinary as a silent landscape. Roza holds an MA in choreography from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. She presents her work internationally and continues developing projects with other artists as a collaborator and performer.
๐๐ง๐๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ฃ ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐๐๐ก๐๐๐๐ค๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ (b.1984) is a Norwegian performer and choreographer based in Oslo. She welcomes a wide range of different performative and choreographic strategies into her practice, and works in several collaborations both as a performer and a choreographer. Long term collaborators include Ingeleiv Berstad, Laura Marie Rueslรฅtten, Eivind Seljeseth, Chrisander Brun, Ida Wigdel and Irene Theisen. She is a part of Bananaz, an association that work to emphasise collective working methods.
๐๐๐๐๐จ๐ฉ๐๐๐ฃ ๐ฝ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐ (1996) has a BA in contemporary dance from the Oslo Academy of the Arts and works mainly as a performer in dance and music in the free field between Oslo and Arendal, in addition to production work and his own choreographic practice. Sebastian has previously been in Carte Blanche and Den Norske Opera og Ballett and is part of the theatre group Agder Nye Teater based in Arendal. In parallel with his own works, he works in many different roles as part of other people’s projects, be it dancer, musician, producer, scenographer, designer, conversational partner etc. He is triggered by art practice that centers around interdisciplinary synergies, the power of the collective and the intrinsic value of art-making.
๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ง๐จ๐๐ฃ works with dance, choreography, curating and organizing that are always based on collaborative processes and hybrid formats. She is interested in the unique logic of the performer, oversized projects that take on a nature of their own, and creating different spaces of interaction. She also tours internationally and is a part of the team behind FIEBRE, a performance that won Young Choreographers’ Award during ImPulsTanz.
