A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Det underfinansierte kompaniet Sundjordet Fritidsteater har bestemt seg for å kjøre safe. De satser på en udødelig klassiker, nemlig William Shakespeares mest spilte stykke: En midtsommernattsdrøm. En tidløs komedie som vet å pirke i hovedpersonenes nattsider, en fortelling som dyrker alt det som bobler opp til overflaten når sivilisasjonen er langt vekk og kontrollen glipper.

Prof Bustric : The Flea Circus

Sergio Bini, aka Prof. Bustric is known from the blockbuster film “La vita bella”, as well as a clown, actor and an old friend of PIT! This year Prof. Bustric found The Pit’s charming backyard, where he opens his suitcase and lets us take a peak into his magic.

Gjennom sangene skriver Batty sitt eget liv.
Sammen med Nina Ossavy og bandet har han skapt en teatral konsert som åpner et vindu inn til en type erfaring vi gjerne tier om.  Det er vittig, trist og med musikk man kan danse til.

Men det var før.
Nå har gjengen, ikke minst med teaterarbeidet som metode, stablet et nytt liv på beina under mottoet «Det finnes alltid muligheter»

Scene:Bluss Guttural voice edition – en workshop med Stina Fors

Scene:Bluss er en kunstnerdrevet, eksperimentell møteplass for tverrfaglige kunstuttrykk under Porsgrunn Internasjonale Teaterfestival. I år er det klart for workshop med Stina Fors! Hun vil være vår guide for å finne forskjellige ekstreme stemmer i workshopen Guttural Voices.

The Pit is this year’s festival cafe and meeting spot, with all that it entails in terms of food, drink, socializing and random meetings, but here more than just food is digested!

Street of Fools

Street of Fools is PIT’s largest and most visited stage. Everything can happen! Everything is for free! Clowns, acrobats, puppet theatre, music and dance. The city’s streets and squares are filled with artists from far and wide. The restaurants serve food from various cuisines. Here you just have to enjoy yourself and take advantage of the city.

Cobblestone Gala: The big block party

In the heart of the city, in front of the Town Hall, the cobblestones are decorated with small and large steps, acrobatics, a jazz orchestra, hip-hop, student parade, mini-musicals … And much, much more. Join the party!

Festival Card

The Festival Card gives 50% discount on one ticket to all performances, except A Summernight’s Dream.
